Hot Yoga

Did I mention I started going to hot yoga? Started a week ago and it's basically yoga in a sauna. According to the website, it's 105 degrees with 50% humidity, and coupled with goodness knows how many bodies in there getting hot and sweaty... Yeah, 'hot' is a major understatement. The heat has a lot of benefits, including opening makes the body open, pliant, stretchy and awake, boosting circulation and detoxifying the body by making you sweat more than your steamiest session between the sheets. I've never sweat so much in my life; perspiration poured off of me as if I'd just stepped out of a bath. The first time I felt quite nauseous towards the end because I really pushed myself and didn't lie down when I was feeling only a bit sick. Afterwards I felt pretty good though; I wasn't sore or achy, and my body felt cleansed (it could've been all in my mind but it still felt good).

So I've committed myself to it now. Hurrah! Although, I must say dancing is SO much easier and so much more fun than any exercise I've ever done. ANY exercise.
