Hot Yoga

Did I mention I started going to hot yoga? Started a week ago and it's basically yoga in a sauna. According to the website, it's 105 degrees with 50% humidity, and coupled with goodness knows how many bodies in there getting hot and sweaty... Yeah, 'hot' is a major understatement. The heat has a lot of benefits, including opening makes the body open, pliant, stretchy and awake, boosting circulation and detoxifying the body by making you sweat more than your steamiest session between the sheets. Afterwards I felt pretty good though; I wasn't sore or achy, and my body felt cleansed (it could've been all in my mind but it still felt good).

So I've committed myself to it now. Hurrah! Although, I must say dancing is SO much easier and so much more fun than any exercise I've ever done. ANY exercise.

Of course, then Wikipedia goes on to say that the number 8 is also the number of destruction in numerology. Can't win them all I guess.

New Year's Eve didn't exactly go as I'd mentally planned. I shan't go into the details but suffice to say, someone didn't stick around and decided to drive 3 hours south with his mates to celebrate NYE with his mates in Portland. Lovely, huh. I was pretty angry, upset and all around pissed off all day NYE but luckily I have the most awesome friends in the world and I still had a great countdown-and-fireworks day even if I did have to give my kiss at midnight to Heather and a computer glitch screwed up our fireworks.
