Egg Donors Wanted

I keep seeing this advert in the campus newspapers asking for egg donors, especially Asians between the ages of 18 and 25 with no history of family illnesses. I qualify. The compensation is $4000 or $5000. Is it worth it? What are the ramifications? Would it be weird to know that your egg will someday become a human and half of you is out there somewhere, living a life that you're not a part of? I don't know. The compensation's good and I'd be helping out a couple who, for one reason or another, can't have children.
